Holy Communion

The Sacrament of Holy Communion is the third of the Sacrament of Initiation. Even though we are required to receive Communion at least once per year (our Easter Duty), and the Church urges us to receive Communion frequently (even daily, if possible), it is called a sacrament of initiation because, like Baptism and Confirmation, it brings us into the fullness of our life in Christ.

At St. Philomene

Religious Education is a nurturing process to encourage and assist our children to develop a lifelong relationship with God. Liturgy of the Word, Grade Level Education, and Sacramental Preparation is offered for grades 1-12 on Sunday morning in English and Thursday evening in Spanish. 

Registrations are during June and July, the formation year starts in September. To register please fill out the registration form and bring it to the Faith Formation Office (Marian Center) along with the Child’s Baptism Certificate.
